We love 'em!
Hospice Calgary guides children, teens and adults through the grieving process as they face a life-threatening illness and death of a loved one. Our team of professionals provide individual, family and group support as well as 24 hour end-of-life care. We operate two centres of care: Sage Centre and Rosedale Hospice.
We offer the only professional, specialized services for grieving children in Southern Alberta. Our Child, Youth and Family counsellors specialize in helping families adjust to the changes in their lives caused by loss.
We provide access to 1-1 counselling as well as grief groups for both children and teens.
Our Community Hospice program provides support to individuals and their families at the point of a critical illness diagnosis. Services can be accessed through counselling or by attending our Living with Cancer Program.
The Living with Cancer Program is a weekly support group for adults living with advanced cancer diagnoses and their caregivers. We provide a hot lunch, practical information, and complementary therapies.Physical, emotional and spiritual support is provided by medical staff, registered nurses, counsellors, chaplain and hospice volunteers. Family and friends are always welcome.
At Rosedale hospice patients at end-of-life due to cancer receive specialized medical and nursing care, focusing on pain and symptom management, as well as emotional and spiritual support, and it is done in a comfortable, safe environment where patients and their loved ones can focus on their time together.
